Tragic End: Beloved Superstar Dies in Car Accident
A heartbreaking incident has claimed the life of a young football star in a car crash. Khyree Jackson, a draft pick for the Minnesota Vikings, passed away at the age of 24. The accident also resulted in the deaths of his former high school teammates, Anthony Lytton Jr., 24, and Isaiah Hazel, 23.
According to the Maryland police, Jackson and Hazel were declared dead at the scene, while Lytton was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
In his final hours, Jackson shared a series of photos on Instagram reflecting on his life. The Vikings organization expressed their deep sorrow, stating, “We are devastated by the news of Khyree Jackson’s death following an overnight car accident. Our thoughts are with Khyree’s family, friends, teammates, and coaches, as well as all the victims of this tragic accident.”
Head coach Kevin O’Connell shared his grief on social media, saying, “I am absolutely crushed by this news. Khyree brought a contagious energy to our facility and our team. His confidence and engaging personality immediately drew his teammates to him. In our short time together, it was evident Khyree was going to develop into a tremendous professional football player, but what was more impressive was his desire to become the best person he could be for his family and those around him. I am at a loss for words. My heart goes out to Khyree’s family, friends, teammates, and coaches.”
Jackson began his college career at the University of Alabama before transferring to the University of Oregon, where he made significant contributions in his final season with 34 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions.
The accident occurred when Cori Clingman, driving a silver Infiniti, attempted to change lanes on Route 4 at high speed. Her vehicle collided with Jackson’s Dodge Charger, causing it to hit another car and crash into several trees. Clingman and her two passengers, as well as the driver of the Chevrolet Jackson struck, were unharmed.
